Well-made, but I dont see the point

This is a well-designed and very polished app, and it does what it does very well.
However, I just dont see the need for it. If Im not misunderstanding, this app is trying to let the user focus on writing without worrying about clunky UI like MS Office. But the controls and syntax can take some time getting used to, which I think defeats its original purpose. To make matters worse, sometimes Ive had trouble making bulleted and numbered lists look the way I want them to.
The bottom line: If I want to write down something simple, I can just use the built-in Notes app. If I want to create a long document, Ill use Google Docs. Both are free, and I think both are just as simple.
